What's Silica Refractory Brick for Glass Kiln
Silica bricks for glass furnace refers to the silicon refractory product used in high temperature glass kiln(not contact with the glass liquid), it is a kind of acid refractory mainly made from tridymite, cristobalite, a small amount of residual quartz and glass phase. High quality silica bricks for glass furnace are characterized by high silica content and low melting index.The higher SiO2 content, the higher temperature silica bricks resist.
Glass kiln silica brick has high temperature and volume stability, no pollution to glass liquid, chemical corrosion resistance, small bulk density, and can reduce the weight of furnace body.

Production Process for Glass kiln Silica Bricks
1. Preparing for silica powder or granule
After three turns and twice cleaning the silica stone by water, the qualified raw material were delivered to crushing machine in proportion, through rough crushing, fine crushing and fine grinding, various particle size of granule or powder which meet the requirement of process were prepared.
2. Batching
The powder or granule were conveyed to batching system, after accurate weighing, conveyed to wet edge-runner（wheel） mill, adding mineralizer, Calcium hydroxide powder, iron phosphate powder, bonding agent, calcium lignosulfonate solution in proportion and mix them together.
3. Shaping
The ready mixed materials were shaped by shaping machine, the inspector inspect the size, weight, hair-cracking, distortion of the wet green bricks carefully.
4. Drying
Qualified wet green bricks conveyed to tunnel dryer for drying, the temperature of the dryer entrance is not lower than 60℃, and the exit temperature is not more than 120℃, the inspector inspect the dried green bricks according to the semi-finished products inspection standard strictly, only the qualified green bricks can be delivered to the kiln.
5. Sintering
Fire the kiln according to the heating plan, cover the kiln top after the natural and crystal water removed when the temperature go up to 320℃.
6. Finished products
The inspector inspect the finished bricks strictly according to the inspection standard for finished products, the qualified bricks will be stamped, packing and delivering according to customer's requirements.
